Letterform live poster

Academic Context

Poster design

Project Brief

Design a poster for a new series of Letterform Live event in a collaboration of Monotype and Grafik for promoting a four part series on Typeface Classifications.

Introduction

When composing a layout, it is crucial to prioritize the information, which is defined as type hierarchy. This could be achieved in many ways depending on what has to be conveyed. For instance, by manipulating the size or weight of the text, by changing the type classification, or the orientation of the type, etc, the outcome becomes more noticable. Another thing to keep in mind is the alignment. Alignment could be hidden or could be obvious depending on the design. Without alignments, posters may look unorganized. Therefore, it is recommended for beginners to align type/ images.
