Project Brief
Leverage existing habit-forming applications developed in GUI project (Mind the Food) and iterate on those products from a traditional app to a non-GUI based product. Reference and leverage all three tools from The Right It: 1) Thinking Tools 2) Pretotyping Tools 3) Analysis Tools.
How might we…?
How might we improve wellness for Jefferson students by leveraging a habit –
forming non – graphical interface?
Elevator Pitch
‘MTF’ app is connected with the ‘Smart Caricature’. ‘Smart Caricature’ helps students to keep track of their meals. Animation feature of showing caricature’s emotion gives a human feeling and connects with the user. It gives a loud alarm whenever the user eats unhealthy food. At the end, when the user punches out, the device shows their entire day’s performance.
Design Tools
The app was designed in Adobe aftereffects, adobe photoshop, adobe illustrator and adobe premier pro.
Design Deliverables

Discussion
Students were explained what the ‘Smart Caricature’ is all about. Students who liked the idea, agreed for the video interview. Images on the below shows the discussion before the video.

Video
In Kanbar, students were approached and told
about the idea of the device. Interested
students agreed for the video interview.
At the end, they were provided with a link to the
website, smartcaricature.info, where they could
share their experience and also provide feedback.
04.3
Website
smartcaricature.info website was created to get the feedback and experience of the users. On the left side of the page, an apple caricature’s GIF was created which is an excerpt from the device’s experience. The website acts as a fake door pretotype. Below image is the screenshot.

Reward
Students who participated in the video, were given reward in the form of a video which is an excerpt from the device’s experience.
Shreeta selected to eat healthy food, hence a happy apple caricature gif for her as a reward while, John selected to eat pizza, hence a sad apple caricature as a reward was sent to him.

The infiltrator pretotype
People were asked to share their meal images on watsapp and in return would be given video of the smart caricature as GIF. This process was an excerpt of the experience which they would get at the kanbar's common thread.
